In conjunction with the launch of his book "*Personality Not Included", Rohit made the generous offer that he would do 50 5 question interviews with people who contacted him. I was one of the lucky 50 :.)
Rohit, what is the theme of your book?
The central theme of the book is that "personality matters." It matters for what brands people talk about and the ones they love. And it matters for what brands manage to hold onto loyal employees who believe in their vision. The entire marketing

When we first set up this blog, we applied for an AdSense account, but for whatever reason, we decided not to add the AdSense code to this blog, so I never did. The account is there, and I've even got the code in a widget (I think), but I never made it go live.
Now, this past week, we received this e-mail from the AdSense team:
Dear Scott Orth (ed. - SEMpdx Treasurer)
While going through our records recently, we found that your AdSense account has posed a significant risk to our AdWords advertisers.

“Why do you feel you have to turn everything into a story? Because if I tell the story, I control the version. Because if I tell the story, I can make you laugh and I rather have you laugh at me then feel sorry for me. Because if I tell the story, it doesn't hurt as much. Aaron Wall is...well, you should know who he is if you're reading this blog :.)
1) Why should somebody choose your platform to learn SEO (as opposed to learning SEO in a classroom setting or an online educational service)?
I have worked on some of the largest sites on the web and many small ones too. And I have went from total no name (and nearly bankrupt) guy to becoming a Technorati top 100 blogger. That wide array of experience has helped shaped me away from a person who gives

Searchfest 08 was a tremendous success and our great speakers were one of the top reasons why our event was such a big hit. I asked our speakers to reflect upon their Searchfest 08 experience:
Lisa Williams: Top 3 Cool Things I Noticed at SearchFest 08
1) One of the most striking benefits of SEMPDX SearchFest 08' is the caliber of speaker. To hear Rand Fishkin of SEOMOZ, Google, Microsoft reps and other search marketing powerhouse speakers you'd need to go to SES or SMX and pay upwards of

I just wrapped up 4 days of blog coverage for Search Marketing Standard at SES New York. You can read about the 16 sessions I attended online, and check my personal blog for additional color commentary. All-in-all, the event was good.
Since I first attended SES in Boston, I've noticed the event has changed along with the industry. For starters, the overall energy level has waned as the SES appeals to a more broad and corporate audience. Back in the early days, you could sense the nervous energy

I have been “kicking the tires” of the premium content offerings from SEOmoz and SEOBook and had planned to write up my impressions as to the value of each. However, my exploration of these two sites led me to a conclusion quite a bit more profound than I anticipated which I would like to share with you.
Rand and Aaron would have to be considered two of the most prominent “SEO Celebrities” (though I´m pretty sure they both despise the term). Through an incredible
