A software, Internet and telecommunications industry veteran; I’ve held executive level sales, marketing and business development positions with a broad range of top technology companies including Apple, Enron, Now Software, Merant and Marqui.I now spend my life consulting with companies who want to leverage new media in their marketing initiatives, and to understand how to use technology to help them.
My client list includes: Attensa, Auctionpay, Chockstone, JWT, OpenMake Software, Saltmine, SnapNames, and SoMA Designs.
What gives me the right to consult with companies about new media? I managed Marqui’s award-winning ‘paybloggers’ program in 2004 and 2005, and met many generous, smart bloggers through the program.
I blogged for two years at Marqui’s World, and some of my favorite posts are still there. The experience thickened my skin, but has been remarkable in terms of living a new way of communicating.
Blogging, new media and the changes in marketing resulting from technology have developed into areas of bliss for me, so I’m putting them to work online and in the Portland, OR area.
As a result, I’ve been lucky enough to be a frequent panelist and speaker at technology and marketing conferences throughout North America, with recent appearances at Beyond Blogs and Social Networks Summit, SEMpdx, ALI’s Blogging and Social Networks conferences, the Blog Business Summit, Innotech, and Simon Fraser University’s Future of Publishing.
A Washington state native, I have a background in psychology and political science, but could never figure out what to do with either area of study… so technology has always been a fun distraction.
