Steve has been the top Internet strategist at companies such as Nike, Digimarc, Hollywood Entertainment (dba Hollywood Video) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). He was responsible for producing the first public Web sites at the first three of those companies and recently produced the Web site for the Portland Aerial Tram while working as Director of Internet Strategies at OHSU.
Steve started his career in Information Technology, with almost 10 years of experience integrating desktop computing into business processes at companies such as PacifiCorp and Nike. Having studied both mass media communications and computer science at the University of Oregon, when the two started to converge in the mid-90's while Steve was at Nike, he shifted his career from IT to digital marketing and business development.
Prior to founding the Internet Strategy Forum, Steve held leadership positions with several other nonprofit organizations. He was a founding Board member of the Oregon Multimedia Alliance (later merged with the Software Association of Oregon), a founding Advisory Board member for RAINS-Net, and a 6-year Board of Directors member for the Portland Creative Conference.
Steve was a judge for the 2006 Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Award and currently sits on the Advisory Council for the InnoTech Conference & Expo.
