Portland State’s Multimedia Professional Program will kick off the year with Orientation on Saturday, September 24, 2011, 1-3 pm. Three certificates, Interactive Producer and Internet Design, starting September 27, and Digital Marketing Strategies, starting September 30, are designed for working professionals and career changers updating traditional media skills in print design, content development, marketing/PR and related fields. SEMpdx had several surplus promotional Snuggies left over from SearchFest 2010, which we had been using as giveaways at our events. However, when we heard that funding was cut for the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization's (IRCO) senior services program, we decided to donate our remaining Snuggies to the seniors in the program; many of whom are unable to pay their heating bills.
So, we rounded up a crew and headed out to IRCO. Approximately 100 seniors were greeted with a fun surprise

Time does seem to fly when you are having fun. As I embark on my twelfth year in Internet and Search Engine Marketing, I cannot believe what changes have happened in our industry over the years.
