Google Should Purchase The Corporate Naming Rights For Portland’s Rose Garden

December 12th, 2007 by Todd Mintz

See the Portland Trailblazers play at the “Google Garden”…I like the sound of it.

Springsteen rocks the “Google Garden”.

Or should it be “Google’s Rose Garden”?

Would ex-Microsoft founder Paul Allen sell the naming rights to Google?

Would he sell them to Microsoft and call it the “MSN Garden”? or “MSN Rose Garden”?

“Yahoo Garden” sounds a bit weird…I don’t see that happening.

Google has the cash and Allen certainly wants the cash.

Only time will tell…but remember, you read it on the SEMpdx blog first.

Ha – personally I like the “Fish Bowl” but I’m a little biased…

Why doesn’t the The Oregonian step up. If the price tag is too hefty I bet the public may be swayed to assist in purchasing the rights (unless there are some policies, keeping this from happening).

The resulting name: “The Oregonian” Rose Garden

I think majority of the public would be very happy with a name such as that.

I think it should be called the Honey Bucket. I can imagine the 2011 NBA finals live from the Honey Bucket arena in Portland Oregon.
