December 3 – 7th in Chicago is the Search Engine Strategies conference, while December 4th through 7th in Las Vegas is Webmaster World Pubcon.

Vegas would be fun. Chicago would be informative. I will probably stay home and catch up on projects.

I’ve always thought Webmaster world was more technical and educational, but my recent trip to San Jose SES this summer elevated them to excellence.
Both Pubcon and SES have shown me that they can both be incredibly educational but ONLY IF you pick the right sessions & presenters.
I can’t argue that Vegas would be more fun than Chicago in December, though
