“The group’s founders hope to ignite more interest in search-engine marketing among local businesses, and promote the Portland area as a hub of search-engine marketing knowledge and talent.
With Portland already regarded as a center for the “creative community,” Lewis and his group are planning events they think will put Portland on the search-engine marketing map.
“We’ll bring some professional development for local professionals, and some education for local businesspeople who don’t know much about search yet,” Lewis said. ”
