Portland Bolt & Manufacturing is looking for a long term employee who is capable of in-house web development and has knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

In this position your primary role will be maintaining our current websites and designing new microsites. Additional skills we don’t expect you to have but will expect you to learn will be administering a VoIP phone system, creating submittal drawings (for sales department), creating bimonthly newsletter, and providing basic PC troubleshooting. Eventually, we would like you to develop network and server administration skills.

Candidates should have relevant coursework, training, and/or experience developing websites with an emphasis on optimization. We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic candidate who is dedicated and hard working, with the ability to train themselves in the use of different tools and software programs. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with limited direct supervision. You will need outstanding communication skills as you will interact with sales, manufacturing, accounting, and management.

In summary, Portland Bolt is seeking a candidate with basic web development skills that will grow into a full-blown web and IT computer guru!

Desired Skills/Abilities:

• Computer Science Degree (or similar)
• Coursework, training, or experience with basic web design
• Fundamental understanding of SEO and SEM
• Competence or familiarity with the following software/tools
  • HTML/CSS
  • PHP
  • Javascript
  • SQL
  • Drupal
• Basic PC trouble shooting
• Outstanding problem solving skills
• High degree of morals and ethical standards
• Good communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills

• Software / Tools
  • Adobe Illustrator (or similar)
  • Experience with MailChimp or similar email marketing providers
• Server Administration
  • Exchange server administration experience
  • Basic understanding of Windows networking
  • Familiarity with Apache web server
