I've been researching how to optimize AJAX for a client and have found the information fairly sparse and inconclusive. Some say that AJAX doesn?t provide enough unique URLs because the content is all in JavaScript served from click events, but there are ways around it. I've found a few nuggets on Search Engine Land and Google Webmaster Central, but I'm hoping someone has real world experience to share.

Do you have a link to look at? It really depends on the page. You can keep it old school and make sure the title tag has keywords and that you add content onto the page.

My experience has been not to think about the Ajax, but the info surrounding it. Without an example I can't give you any definate answers, because the big G has gotten allot better at following javascript links. But when you put funcitons and of the such in the code it's almost impossible for G to interperit.

The main point here is what Ajax is used for which is to not post back to the server everytime a user requests something. If you can edit the clients site to minimize the amount of Ajax or present their website in a different manner such as css then it might make an impact.

SEO is 80% common sense, 10% coding and 10% SEO fundamentals.
