Dan Boberg is Managing Director of Sales Technology for Yahoo! He joined the company in April 1999 and is responsible for managing the company’s Sales Technology team, focused on driving groundbreaking solutions for clients including developing and servicing key partnerships with ad technology providers and agencies.
Named as one of B2B Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2004, Boberg has worked to drive Yahoo’s industry leadership in several key areas. Most recently, he was instrumental in launching the Yahoo! Search Marketing Commercial API program, which enables programmatic ad campaign management via Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
Prior, he pioneered the company’s Ambassador Program, which helps search engine marketing companies streamline their work to drive targeted sales leads to clients. Boberg began his career at the company in marketing where he founded the companies co-marketing partnership programs, enabling companies to make money referring new advertisers to Yahoo!
Prior to Yahoo!, Boberg was Director of Business Development for Advantage Technologies, a supplier of conference and trade show networking tools. He also was a member of Microsoft’s product planning team responsible for developing the personal financial management software product Microsoft Money.
Boberg received a B.A. in Political Science from Seattle Pacific University and an M.B.A with emphasis in Marketing and Technology from the University of Southern California.
