1. Please give us your background and let us know what you do for a living.
I’m a life-long entrepreneur with experience in Interaction Design, SEO and Digital Marketing. Ten years ago I helped start Raven Tools, a platform for digital marketers and agencies. I’ve worn a lot of hats throughout those years, but today I’m focused mainly on marketing, networking and business development for Raven.
2. What is Raven’s niche in the toolset marketplace??
We originally focused on SEO, and then later added Social and Paid Advertising tools. The platform still has many of those tools, but the ones that our customers love the most are our Automated Marketing Reports and the Site Auditor. We actually have an aggressive product roadmap for the Site Auditor this year, and we plan to launch a redesigned version of it with new workflow tools in February.
3. How has being a very visible member of the search marketing community impacted your business?
I think they go hand in hand. In regards to visibility, I’ve always seen myself as a product evangelist. My approach has been to network and build relationships with people I have a natural connection with. I’ve been fortunate that my experience and opinions have been well received by the industry via presentations and writings. That reflects well on our brand and helps foster interest in our software. So visibility has definitely had a positive impact on our business.
