The American Gangster Response To Google

November 4th, 2007 by Todd Mintz

“The Loudest Man in the Room is the Weakest Man in the Room.” Frank Lucas from American Gangster

Google will do what Google feels in its best interests.

Complaining about Google’s actions is an exercise in futility.

Google has had major algorithm adjustments before and will certainly have more in the future.

Smart webmasters are not spending time talking, but are adjusting their websites for the new reality…whatever it may be.

The smartest among us will spend time in analysis, not speech, for every algorithm has its weakpoints that can be exploited for benefit. The weakest among us will continue to chatter and complain.

So is there anything really new here?

  1. After all the “structure” is in place, it always seems to come back to the fundamental fact that if you add good content on a regular basis, you’re most likely to gain natural links from authoritative sites.

People have been saying it for years… “Content is king”.

Any attempts to trick or deceive the search engines will always be short lived…
but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to try! ;)
